ISLAMABAD – A high level Saudi delegation has arrived in Pakistan forenhancing bilateral ties between two brotherly states.
A six-member Saudi delegation called on the Finance Minister Asad Umar hereon Thursday and discussed issues of bilateral interests.
The Saudi delegation was led by Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Chairmanand Adviser to the Crown Prince, Ahmad Agil Al-Khateeb, Saudi ArabiaAmbassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki was also present during themeeting.
Asad Umar, while talking to the members of the delegation, discussed thematters relating to the strengthening of economic ties between the twocountries. The on-going and pipeline projects of Saudi Fund for developmentalso came under discussion with the view to accelerate the pace of theirimplementation.
Finance Minister appreciated the role of the Saudi Development Fund as adevelopment partner of the government of Pakistan. The two sides alsosigned three Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) for grant projects inKashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), for the health and education sectors.
