ISLAMABAD – Inspector General of Police KP Muhammad Tahir has been tippedas the new IG Punjab Police.

Earlier federal government had forwarded three names to Punjab governmentfor the slot of Punjab inspector general of police (IGP).

As per details garnered, the names include Mohammad Tahir, Khalid Dad Lakand Faisal Shahkar. Tahir Khan is currently serving as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) IGP.

The authority to pick the most suitable candidate rests with Punjab ChiefMinister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
