While the brilliant bowling did curb the Kiwis, it was Wasim Akram who wasspotted giving tips to the youngster and pacer Mohammed Amir before theclash at Edgbaston.
When asked what he was said to Shaheen and Amir, Akram replied, “I toldthem to focus on the length they’re bowling & field-set for Williamson toldShaheen to bowl fuller than he has been bowling. At this level, smalladjustments make all the difference.”
“I asked him to change his length. He had been bowling too short. I toldhim to pitch the ball up and attack the batsman. It seems he did listen tomy advice,” the Sultan of Swing added on commentary.
