Tehran, May 26, IRNA – Iranian researchers have found a solution thatsimultaneously decreases greenhouse gasses and increases oil wells’productivity.
Researchers at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad conducted a project to assessoil wellhead’s greenhouse gasses injection to depleted or low pressure oilreservoirs with a focus on environment.
They found that injection of the emitted gasses can increase productivityof the oil wells.
The findings will delay the early depletion of oil wells, as well ascontrolling the destructive impact of greenhouse gasses.

Given the high levels of greenhouse gasses in oil-rich Iranian provinces ofKhuzestan and Boushehr, the research is of great importance in terms ofenvironmental concerns.
