HARIPUR, (APP): Tarbela Dam’s unit completely burnt out
Power generation unit no. 10 of the Tarbela Dam completely burnt out, Chairman WAPDA ordered to hold inquiry to probe into the matter.
According to the official sources, it will take two to three months for complete repairing of the unit no. 10 of the dam, it is also expected to call foreign experts for this task.
The Unit No. 10 of the Tarbela Dam which was producing 180 megawatt electricity when the incident happened while the power generation capacity of the unit was 175 megawatt.
It was also expected that next month the capacity of the unit would be increased up to 200 megawatt.
They said that the unit tripped due to technical reasons, now Wapda is facing 200 megawatt electricity short fall after the breakdown.
