ISLAMABAD – As the efforts are ongoing for the Afghan peace process atnational and international levels, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kabul ZahidNasrullah Khan, who addressed a ceremony in Kabul on Friday, said he hopesthat Afghanistan will witness enduring peace and stability in the nearfuture and that the Afghan youth will have an important role in thisprocess.
The Pakistani envoy emphasized that Kabul-Islamabad relations shouldimprove.
“Inshallah, very soon, Afghanistan will experience enduring peace andstability and in the post-peace Afghanistan, your (the Afghan youths) rolewill be very crucial,” Khan said as he addressed a gathering of Afghanstudents who will attend a scholarship program in Pakistan.
The Afghan students, whose number reaches to 800, will head to Pakistan forhigher education.
The students said the ongoing war in Afghanistan should come to an endand that the achievements of the past 17 years should be retained duringthe peace process.
“This scholarship provided by Pakistan is good for improving relationshipsand friendship between the two countries,” said Zarifa Ahmadi, anAfghan student.
