ISLAMABAD – Foreign Office on Friday summoned the Indian Deputy HighCommissioner J.P. Singh and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violationsby the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control in Padhar Sectoryesterday, resulting in the shahadat of 2 innocent civilians and injuriesto 2 others.

Indian side was urged to respect the 2003 Ceasefire arrangement,investigate this and other incidents of ceasefire violations, instruct theIndian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintainpeace on the LoC and the Working Boundary.

India was also pressed to permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as perthe UN Security Council resolutions.
