TEHRAN – An informed source in Russian National Security Council onWednesday dismissed as lie the rumors about Moscow’s mediation to arrange ameeting between Iran’s Ali Shamkhani and Israeli national security advisor.
Talking to the Islamic Republic News Agency’s (IRNA) reporter present inthe Ninth Security Conference in the Russian resort city of Sochi, theinformed source stressed that there was not such a meeting.
Shamkhani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council is inRussia to participate in the security conference.Head of Russian National Security Council Nikolai Patrushev as the host ofthe security conference held separate meetings with security officials ofthe participating countries.
Certain media outlets in a mischievous act reported on a meeting betweenthe Russian official and Shamkhani as well as Patrushev’s meeting with theIsraeli security advisor Eytan Ben-David in such a way to implies mediationof Moscow between security officials of the two sides.
