ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has taken a policy decision against the banned organistaions and their militants appearance on the main stream media.
The Pakistan Electronic Media Authority (Pemra) has put a ban on broadcast of interviews of militants.
According to a statement, the regulator said giving airtime to terrorist who was involved in hundreds of militant activities inside the country in which thousands of soldiers and civilians embraced martyrdom is very painful for the affected families.
The Pemra reminded that it would be the violation of Clause 3(3) of the media Code of Conduct agreed upon under the National Action Plan (NAP) and the directions of the Supreme Court.
