LAYYAH: A man allegedly killed his four daughters, a minor son and later committed suicide at Chak 341-TDA in Tahsil Chowk Azam, police said on Thursday.
Police said that Tariq Arain had been facing domestic problems since long that led him to divorce his wife about a year ago. He had also been facing disputes with brother and other family members over the issue of taking care of his five children.
On Wednesday night, he gave poison to his five children that caused their death. He himself also consumed poison and was admitted to DHQ hospital and was referred to Nishtar hospital due to critical condition where he died.
Those killed included—-Tayyaba (15), Tanzeela (12), Shanza (7), Saba (6), and four year old son Tayyab.
Chowk Azam Police said, they were investigating the incident. (APP)
