ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has strongly opposed and condemned US decision torecognize Israel’s sovereignty over Syrian Golan Heights.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr MuhammadFaisal said the decision represents a serious violation of UN Charter,international law and UN Security Council Resolutions.
He said it also constitutes a serious blow to the Rule of Law andinternational norms.
Spokesperson said Pakistan shares the international outrage and is deeplyconcerned over the potentially grave repercussions of US decision for theregion and beyond.

He said Pakistan calls upon the UN Security Council to take cognizance ofthis situation and take steps in accordance with the UN Charter.
