ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday formed a new benchin case related to the disqualification of Foreign Minister Khawaja Asiffor allegedly not declaring “Iqama” (work permit) of a foreign country inhis nomination papers.
The newly-formed bench has set April 5 date for the hearing of petitionfiled against the federal minister by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaderUsman Dar.
Earlier, the larger bench of the IHC was dissolved after Justice MiangulHassan Aurangzeb excused from hearing the plea seeking disqualification ofMinister for Foreign Affairs Khawaja Asif for allegedly not declaring“Iqama” (work permit) of a foreign country in his nomination papers.
The matter was remanded back to Chief Justice Muhammed Anwar Khan Kasi forforming a new bench to hear the plea filed by PTI leader Usman Dar.
