BAGHDAD- Iraq’s Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi says he has ordered themilitary to take full control of the country’s borders amid escalatingtensions.
A statement said that during a phone call with his Turkish counterparttoday (Tuesday), Al-Abadi said his troops will prevent foreign fightersfrom using Iraq for cross-border attacks against Turkey.
Earlier Turkey had planned to send its military to northern Iraq to crushthe Kurdish militias from striking Turkey.
