Indian Actress sexually assaulted by Film producer

MUMABI – A *MidDay *report suggests that a budding actress gave Rs 8 lakhto a producer to get the lead role in a film. After the shooting of thefilm was completed and she started dubbing for the same, she realised thatthe movie has wa edited in a sleezy manner to make it appear like a softporn movie. She also found that her shots and pictures appeared obscene.

The report further informs that the actress complained to the Oshiwarapolice post which they arrested the producer for alleged objectionableediting, molesting, assaulting, threatening and robbing the actress.

The tabloid further reports that the police shared that the actress lodgeda complaint against Anish Rao and his mother Sonam R J. Anish is the ownerof Goregan-based AR Creations on March 24.

The starlet, in her complaint alleged that after finishing the shooting ofthe film in Panvel, she came to know about how the film had been edited andwent to Rao’s Andheri office on March 19. Reportedly, she told him that thefilm won’t be cleared by the Censor Board since it appears to be soft pornand asked him to return her money.

On hearing that the actress wants her money back, Rao allegedly abused herverbally and went on to touch her inappropriately. She also alleged that hebeat her up and snatched her gold chain amounting to Rs 60,000, post whichboth Rao and his mother threatened her with rape.

Reportedly, a case has been filed against the mother-son duo under thesections 392 (robbery), 354(assault or criminal force to woman with intentto outrage her modesty), 354C (voyeurism), 509 (word, gesture or actintended to insult the modesty of a woman), 5062) (sale of printed orengraved substance containing defamatory matter) and 34 (common intention)of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The police had arrested Rao who was produced in court and sent to policecustody, his mother is reported to be absconding. Further investigationsare going on in the matter, as per the DCP.
