Iran responds over rising escalation between Pakistan and India

TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday urgedIslamabad and New Delhi to show self-restraint following the escalation oftensions between the two states.

Zarif made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Pakistanicounterpart Mehmood Qureshi.

The Iranian foreign minister said that Iran is ready to help achieving apeaceful resolution of dispute between Islamabad and New Delhi.

He called for dialogue between the two neighboring states.
