Indian government summons Pakistan envoy, registers protest over PAF strike inside India

The Indian government today said it expects the immediate and safe returnof an Indian Air Force pilot captured by Pakistan after an air combatbetween the two sides for the first time since 1971, which marked the worstescalation between the neighbours in decades.

It was made clear that Pakistan would be well advised to ensure that noharm comes to the Indian defence personnel in its custody,” said New Delhiin its statement.
