ISLAMABAD: Seven people suffered injuries on Tuesday when an ambo-lifterflipped over while carrying passengers into a plane at Islamabad airport.
Airport officials said the lifter, used to carry disabled passengers aboarda plane, overturned while transporting passengers into the aircraft.
As a result, the passengers fell onto the runway, receiving seriousinjuries. They were shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital for medicalattention.
The overturning of the lifter also caused slight damage to the plane’s leftengine. The aircraft, belonging to Emirates Airlines, was to take off forDubai.
