DUBAI – PCB Chairman Najam Sethi has announced that the next PSL 2019 halfmatches would be held in Pakistan.
He hoped to organise at least half matches of the Pakistan Super League(PSL) 2019 in Pakistan, calling the tournament a ‘national asset’.
In a video message while talking to a media person, he said, “Insha Allahat least half matches of PSL will be held in Pakistan next year.”
“I have only one message for the people of Pakistan. This is your asset. Itdoesn’t belong to Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta or Multan. And youhave to protect it,” he added.
When asked whether it has been confirmed that the PSL 3 final will beplayed in Karachi, he responded that “it is 100% confirmed”.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman opined that a final match betweenKarachi and Lahore is what the people anticipate. Smiling at the camera, hesaid Allah knows better whatever will happen in future.
Sethi told that the PSL 3 is being held successfully in UAE, however, thelow attendance of spectators in the stadiums tell a different story.
Ninth match of PSL 2018 is to be held today between Islamabad United andQuetta Gladiators at Sharjah. Karachi Kings lead the points table withthree wins while Lahore Qalandars lost all its matches to land in the lastspot.
