At the United Nations, the new US President Joe Biden’s administration hasassured its support to a two-state solution between Israel and thePalestinians.

Speaking at the UN Security Council, acting US envoy to the United NationsRichard Mills said the Biden administration will overturn several Trumpadministration decisions.

He said Washington will urge Israel and Palestinians to avoid unilateralsteps that make a two-state solution more difficult.

He said the Biden administration intends to restore Palestinian aid andtake steps to re-open the Palestinian diplomatic mission in Washington.
