ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Consulate General in Mazar-e-Sharif on Sunday wasclosed after an Afghan woman was caught trying to sneak a hand grenade inher personal bag.The woman was arrested by the police and was under investigation to findperpetrators of the failed attack, the Foreign Office in a press releasesaid.“The Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul has urged the Afghan Foreign Office toprovide foolproof security to its Consulate General in Mazar-e-Sharif andto share the findings of its investigation at the earliest,” it added.The Pakistan Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif would remain closed for visaservices till the provision of fool-proof security by the authorities inMazar-e-Sharif to prevent any untoward incident in the Consulate General.
