The Islamabad High Court (IHC) announced that the upcoming hearing for Imran Khan's bail plea in the cipher case will be held publicly, as ordered by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.

This decision came in response to the prosecution's request for confidential proceedings. In a separate session, the IHC invalidated the authorities' notification to detain the PTI chairman in Attock jail.

Additionally, IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq granted the request to relocate Khan to Adiala jail, citing his three-year sentence in the Toshakhana case.

In another development, a special court extended the judicial remand of Imran Khan and PTI's Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi until October 10 in the cipher case, which involves a classified state document. During the hearing, the court instructed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to promptly submit a challan in the case.

This hearing took place at the Attock Jail with the approval of the Law Ministry, addressing security concerns raised by the Interior Ministry. Notably, Imran Khan was incarcerated on August 5 following his conviction in the Toshakhana case, but on August 29, the IHC temporarily suspended his sentence.
