ISLAMABAD - Pay back the looted money through plea bargain and fly off Pakistan, NAWAZ Sharif’s mother Shamim Begum has advised his arrested son in Kotlakhpat jail, Senior investigative journalist Arif Hameed Bhatti on Thursday has revealed.Bhatti stated that Begam Shamim has nudged incarcerated Nawaz Sharif to make a plea bargain.
Analyzing evolving political situation against the backdrop of reports of NRO, the senior analyst stated that Nawaz Sharif—when he was in power—was all set to make Maryam Nawaz president of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
“However, Shehbaz Sharif approached Begam Shamim and urged her to stop Nawaz Sharif from doing so”, added Mr. Bhatti.
“Coming to the present scenario, Begam Shamim paid visit [at Kot Lakhpat Jail] to convinve Nawaz Sharif to make a plea bargain”, stated Mr. Bhatti.
Mr. Bhatti further added that in today’s meeting [at Kot Lakhpat Jail], all correspondence between incarcerated Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif occurred through chits.
