ISLAMABAD: An appellate tribunal has ruled that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is qualified to contest elections from Mianwali's NA-95 Constituency and NA -131 Lahore.
The Lahore High Court's Appellant Tribunal has rejected all the appeals filed by rival candidates against the nomination papers of Imran Khan and he has been cleared to take part in elections from these two constituencies.
Imran Khan was blamed by the petitioner that he has concealed his assets.
The tribunal set aside the returning officer's (RO) decision to reject Khan's papers. On June 19, the PTI chief's papers for NA-95 Mianwali were rejected on technical grounds. AFP
