LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over a high level meeting here on Saturday to review progress on Bab-e-Pakistan project.
Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq also participated in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that Bab-e-Pakistan is being constructed in the memory of those who rendered sacrifices for the creation of Pakistan.
He said that it was a collective responsibility to apprise the new generation about the objectives of Pakistan Movement and creation of the country and Bab-e-Pakistan project was of vital importance in this regard, he added.
Bab-e-Pakistan will revive the memories of migration and sacrifices of the Muslims, he said.
The Chief Minister directed that matters regarding the project should be settled immediately and the project should reflect sacrifices of workers of Pakistan Movement. Secretary Information Raja Jehangir Anwar gave a briefing on the project.
Members Assembly Mian Naseer Ahmad, Yasin Sohal, Chief Secretary, Secretary Communication & Works, Chairman Planning & Development and concerned officers attended the meeting.
