Pakistan Maritime Security Agency arrests six Indian fishermen and seized boats

Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) personnel have foiled an attempt by Indian fishermen to carry out illegal fishing in Pakistani waters and arrested six fishermen.

Addressing a news conference in Karachi on Monday, PMSA Deputy Director Amir Iqbal revealed that that they have seized the Indian boat and six fishermen who were illegally fishing in Pakistan’s eastern sea.

The PMSA Deputy Director also disclosed that in their other major operations they had disrupted numerous bids to smuggle drugs. As many as 39 drugs smugglers have been arrested in major operations and narcotics worth Rs13 billion were also seized, he added.

Six boats of smugglers were also compounded, the deputy directed said.
