Prominent international daily the New York Times has slammed Indian leadersfor keeping mum over the killings of Muslims in the hands of Hinduextremists.
In an article, the paper wrote that in a worst instance of risinganti-Muslim sentiment across India, right-wing Hindu activists at aconference in Haridwar, took an oath to make India a Hindu country even ifit required killing Muslims.
The paper further writes noted that Indian leaders’ and especially PrimeMinister Narendra Modi’s silence over the incidence is a tacit signal ofprotection for the extremists some of whom have close ties with his party.
