Turkish defence giant TAI confirms deal of 30 T129 ATAK helicopters for Pakistan Military

*ISLAMABAD – Turkey’s leading defense company, the Turkish AerospaceIndustries (TAI), has opened its first office in Pakistan at the country’sfirst technology park National Science & Technology Park.*

“We are the first Turkish defense firm to open an office in Pakistan’sfirst technopark,” TAI Marketing and Communications Director Serdar Demirsaid in a statement to *Anadolu Agency*.

“We informed the Pakistani prime minister about the cooperationopportunities and the projects that TAI aims to carry out in Pakistan. Weare one of the six countries to have an office in Pakistan’s firsttechnopark,” Demir said, adding that the company will also assesscooperation opportunities with Pakistani universities.

TAI official talked about the company’s deal to sell 30 T129 ATAKhelicopters to Pakistan and TAI’s aim to positively conclude the ongoingprocess. Damir said that the firm founded in 2005 is in negotiations withPakistan over other defense platforms.

Just days ago it was learnt that Turkey’s defense goods manufacturerASELSAN – Askeri Elektronik Sanayi, Military Electronic Industries, is allset to open offices in Pakistan next year, as the defense giant aims toboost its marketing opportunities.

The company which recorded $1.87 billion in revenue in 2018, currentlysells its products to 65 countries is aiming to expand its defensetransactions with Pakistan, by opening its office in January next year.

The company deals with manufacturing military equipment, it also designs,develops and manufactures modern electronic systems for military andindustrial customers.
