ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r)Javed Iqbal has rejected the threats to the NAB officials.
NAB Chief on Wednesday said that anti-graft watchdog could not be impededfrom going ahead by browbeating or threatening it as the bureau wasdetermined to eradicate the menace of corruption by strictly remainingwithin the purview of law of the land.
Speaking at anti-graft watchdog’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bureau, the NABchairman said, an organized propaganda campaign has already been launchedagainst NAB but the bureau believes in negating the organized campaign bymerely showing performance.
He said NAB was pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against corrupt practices.This year 440 pending references were filed in various accountabilitycourts, which were languishing in Almirahs and files.
He said the white-collar mega corruption cases would be taken to thelogical conclusion on the priority basis.
