ISLAMABAD: The joint military exercise Al-Battar-II between Pakistan andSaudi Arabia, focused on counter-terrorism operations, has successfullyconcluded in Tabuk. According to a statement released by the Inter-ServicesPublic Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday, the drills spanned from November 18to 26, 2025, involving elite units from both nations. Pakistan’s SpecialServices Group (SSG) and Saudi Arabia’s combat teams participated,demonstrating high levels of professionalism and operational synergythroughout the event.
The closing ceremony, held on November 26 in Tabuk, was attended by seniormilitary officials from both countries. Pakistan’s General OfficerCommanding of the SSG served as the guest of honor, alongside prominentSaudi Arabian military personnel. This gathering underscored thedeep-rooted fraternal ties between the two brotherly nations, which havelong collaborated in defense and security matters.
During the exercise, participants engaged in rigorous training aimed atrefining skills in urban combat, countering improvised explosive devices(IEDs), and enhancing tactical procedures through integrated simulations.The ISPR emphasized that the drills achieved all intended objectives,thereby bolstering mutual defensive preparedness and contributing toregional peace and stability.
