ISLAMABAD – About 70 per cent work of under-construction 89-kilometreLahore-Sialkot Motorwaylink hasbeen completed and it is expected that the project would be completed nextyear.
An official of National Highway Authoritylink (NHAlink)informed APP on Monday that Lahore-Sialkot Motorwaylink)was being constructed at the costlink of Rs43.84 billionlink. Construction of thefour-lane Lahore-Sialkot Motorwaylink hasbeen divided in four sections on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis hadstarted in February link 2017 link.
The official said the motorwaylink hasseven interchanges, eight flyovers, 40 bridges and 70 underpasses.It would be linked with Lahore-Islamabad Motorwaylink (M-2)and Grand Trunk Road link (N-5)through Lahorelink linkroad link near Kala ShahKaku.
He said that the motorwaylink wouldhelp reduce travel link distance betweenSialkot link and Lahorelink and would open newvistas of socio-economic and human development in Sialkotlink region.
The motorwaylinkeast bound exits include Lahorelink, Sialkotlink Bypass, KalaKhatai, Narowal link,Wahndo, Mundeke, Pasrurlink and Sialkotlink while its westbound exits include Kala Shah Kaku (M-2 inter-change), Muridkelink, Eimanabad,Gujranwalalink City, Daska link, andWazirabad link.
