LAHORE: IG Shoaib Dastagir appointed as new Punjab Police Chief by thefederal government.
Managing Director Police Foundation Shoaib Dastagir Tuesday has replacedCaptain (Retd) Arif Nawaz Khan as the new Inspector General of PunjabPolice (IGP).
The Establishment Division has issued a notification regarding theallocation of Shoaib Dastagir as new IGP.
It is to be noted that the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) hasalso tried Muhammed Tahir Khan and Amjad Javed Salimi as IG Punjab. ArifNawaz Khan has also served as IG Punjab during the general elections 2018.
