ISLAMABAD – Minister for Planning and Development Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiarhas said that Government of Pakistan is fully committed to providingfoolproof security to Chinese nationals in Pakistan and CPEC projects allacross the country.
He was talking to Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing at Chinese Embassy inIslamabad on Monday.
The Minister termed the attack on Chinese Consulate in Karachi as aconspiracy to sabotage China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and said that thesedetractors cannot change our resolve on this mega cooperation.
Khusro Bakhtiar assured that a thorough investigation is being carried outto apprehend the perpetrators, their financiers, planners and facilitators.
The Chinese Ambassador appreciated the quick, prompt and effective actionof Pakistan security and Law Enforcement Forces who sacrificed their livesto protect the Chinese Consulate.
He said the terrorist attack was an attempt to impact Pakistan Chinarelations and to harm CPEC. He stressed that Pakistan-China brotherhood wasclad in iron and such cowardly attacks could not affect it.

Both sides expressed their resolve to further strengthen and expandPak-China Cooperation.
The said the two countries will continue to cooperate to thwart the designsof hostile forces against their times’ tested friendship.
Both sides also discussed progress on CPEC projects and preparation for theupcoming Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting, planned next month.
