In Afghanistan, Taliban has promised to ensure the security of any renewedEuropean Union mission in Kabul.
A European official told AFP that we can confirm we are working onestablishing a minimal presence on the ground after the Financial Timesreported that the mission could reopen within a month.
The European External Action Service, along with many embassies, closed thedoors of its mission in Kabul and evacuated its staff in August, as Talibanseized the capital.
