ISLAMABAD – Following the approval by the Prime Minister Imran Khan forappointment of Shahzad Qasim as his Special Assistant on the Power Sector,the Cabinet Division Friday issued the formal notification.According to the Cabinet Shahzad Qasim has been tasked to work with thePower Division and Task Force on Energy from Oct 24.

He would develop a plan for resource mobilization for addressing theCircular Debt issue; and a plan for optimum funding of a Power SectorSupport Fund in the light of international best practices, while keeping inview the political, economic and social fabric of Pakistan.

Shahzad Qasim would execute any other initiative, or implement any otherpolicies, as directed by the Prime Minister or the Federal Minister forPower, the notification said.
