ISLAMABAD – Federal government has decided to appoint new career diplomatsin key world capitals.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Nafees Zakaria would be the new Pakistanihigh commissioner to London, while Dr Asad Majeed will be appointed as newenvoy to United States of America.

Raja Ali Aijaz will be posted in Riyadh as the new ambassador, while HamidAsghar Khan, Shehryar Akbar Khan and Ahmed Ali will be appointed to Rabat,Serbia and Dubai respectively.

The foreign minister, however, stated that the appointments will take sometime as the matter has already been discussed with the prime minister.

He said that all appointments included ‘career diplomats’
