NEW YORK – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan, Turkey andMalaysia will jointly launch an English language channel dedicated toconfronting the challenges posed by Islamophobia and setting the recordstraight on our great religion – Islam.

This he announced in a series of tweets on Wednesday. He said the decisionwas made during his meeting with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan andMalaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad in New York.

This channel will correct misperceptions which bring people togetheragainst Muslims. Issue of blasphemy would be properly contextualized;series and films would be produced on Muslim history to educate and informour own people and the world; Muslims would be given a dedicated mediapresence through this channel.
