ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has decided to close its crossing point on Pak-Afghanborder, Foreign Office states.
According to the spokesperson Foreign Office, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, in viewof the upcoming presidential election and in support of domestic transitionin Afghanistan, Pakistan has decided to close all passage ways/cargoterminals on 27-28 September 2019.
The terminals will only be open in case of any emergency situation.
Moreover, all pedestrians and trading vehicles will have to go throughstrict security check from 26-29 September 2019.
It is noteworthy that presidential elections in Afghanistan are scheduledon Septemrb 28, 2019.
