LAHORE – In the Lahore Metro Train mega Project:, Corruption worth Rs 120million has been unearthed in previous government tenure, media report hasrevealed.
Special audit report of the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) pointed outirregularities of about Rs120 million in the decoration of Lahore metro bustrack.
The report stated that the PHA and contractors allegedly colluded whichresulted in million rupees of loss to the national exchequer. Rs118.49million of irregularities were found in the audit report of metro busproject.

The audit report further stated that there was no plantation on the trackand funds got vanished from the report. The administrative control of thePHA officers was found to be extremely poor. The AGP has issued orders fordepartmental proceedings against the concerned PHA officials.
