Trump Fires Another Shot At PM Modi over Pakistan-India Nuclear Conflict

Former U.S. President Donald Trump once again referenced a possiblePakistan-India Nuclear war, claiming he personally intervened to stop it. Aclaim which Indian PM Narendra Modi denied.

According to a report published in the *Hindustan Times*, Trump, whilespeaking to journalists at the White House, added another conflict to thelist of wars he says he has prevented during his tenure.

Trump stated that four of those wars were averted by using trade tariffs asleverage. Until recently, he had maintained that he prevented six wars, butthe latest claim raises that figure to seven.

Among the conflicts he cited was a potential Pakistan-India war, whichTrump has previously described as a nuclear threat. “In the Pakistan-Indiawar, seven planes were shot down. A nuclear war between the two countriescould have started, but I stepped in and stopped it,” Trump said.

The former U.S. President has often reiterated that his administration’sinterventions helped prevent a major escalation between the two South Asianneighbors.
