QUETTA – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has retracted from nominating DrAmeer Muhammad Khan Jogezai as Balochistan Governor.

His nomination has been withdrawn after revelations regarding NationalAccountability Bureau (NAB) reference against him surfaced.

According to details, the PTI spokesman said that Jogezai’s name was justsuggested by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan however, no final decision hasbeen taken in this regard.

Earlier, PTI leader had thanked Imran Khanlink giving his name forthe post and assured to not disappoint the people.

On the other hand, NAB said that its probe into financial embezzlementcases against Jogezai is in final phase after which, reference will befiled against him.

It is to be mentioned here that NAB’s executive board chaired by ChairmanQamar Zaman approved investigation against Dr Jogezi in 2015.

The premier had already nominated Imran Ismail as Sindh Governor andChaudhry Muhammad Sarwar as Punjab Governor. Both the governors will takethe Oath of their Offices on August 27 and August 28 respectively.
