LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board has shortlisted 26 players for the upcomingAsia Cup 2018 scheduled to be played in UAE next month.
A training camp has been scheduled to take place at Army School of Physical& Training (ASPT), Abbottabad from August 27 to 31, 2018.
PCB has decided to initiate a 4-day camp ahead of Asia Cup 2018 to coachplayers for the tournament, says a press release issued by the issued bythe cricket board on Sunday.
Asia Cup will be held from September 15-28 in the UAE. Pakistan will takeon India on September 19. The Group A includes India, Pakistan and aqualifier team. The Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, andAfghanistan. The UAE, Nepal, Singapore, Oman, Malaysia and Hong Kong willbe competing in August to qualify as the sixth team.
The inaugural match of Asia Cup will be played between Bangladesh and SriLanka on September 15. Pakistan will play their first match against thequalifier team on September 16.
The training camp schedule for the Asia Cup will be announced later.
