*LAHORE – Notorious encounter specialist former Inspector Abid Boxer hasbeen arrested in Lahore by CIA Police.*
*However within hours he was released from the police custody.*
A murder case is registered at Millat Park police station against AbidBoxer.
He and claimant of the case were summoned at Nawan Kot CIA center for probepurpose, where both of them had exchange of hot words following which AbidBoxer was confined in a lockup.
He was later released following detention of few hours.
A local court had last month granted interim bail to the encounterspecialist in as many as 10 criminal cases.
Some of the cases registered against him pertained to murder, attemptedmurder and land-grabbing.
The authorities had informed the Lahore High Court that Abid Boxer was intheir custody since February this year.
Deputy Attorney General Syed Zafar Abbas Gilani told the court that formerpolice officer, who was involved in many criminal acts, has been broughtback to Pakistan from Dubai in February.
