LONDON – England’s Moeen Ali eyes comeback after having scored a doublehundred and taken eight wickets for Worcestershire in the CountyChampionship fixture against Yorkshire.
Moeen Ali is hoping to “put his name up there” for the Southampton Testagainst India.
A majestic 219 and match figures of 8/89 put Ali in contention for thefourth England-India Test as the hosts look to bounce back from the TrentBridge defeat and seal the series.
Although Ali has been named in the squad for the Test, he isn’t takinganything for granted. “If I get the nod it will be great, if not then not aproblem. I’m just trying to stay in the present,” Ali told *Sky Sports. *“I’mplaying well and I just want to keep up the form with Worcestershire andhopefully with England as well.
“I’m just trying to do my best, put my name up there again and see whathappens.”
