*ISLAMABAD – Election observers from the European Union have said that thiselection was conducted better than the 2013 election.*

They said the army adhered to the code of conduct very strictly.

A member of the team, Michael Gallagher, said they had been invited by thegovernment to observe the elections.

He said the procedure was smooth and peaceful and he saw many people comingto vote.

The team visited some polling stations as part of their observations.
