KABUL: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani Responds over the goodwillgesture from the Taliban.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani responded to the gesture of goodwill byTaliban group and vowed to release 2,000 Taliban prisoners.
The Office of the President, ARG Palace, in a statement said PresidentGhani convened a meeting in ARG Palace late on Sunday to discuss therelease of Taliban prisoners in return to Taliban’s gesture of goodwill forannouncing ceasefire during Eid Days.
Ghani had earlier ordered the Afghan forces to return to defense posturewhile welcoming the announcement of ceasefire by Taliban during Eid Days.
