ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Germany have agreed to explore new avenues ofcooperation to further diversify and strengthen their bilateral defencerelations.
This consensus came during a meeting between visiting German Vice Chief ofDefense Vice Admiral Joachim Ruhle and Secretary Defence Zamir-ul-HassanShah in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
Secretary Defence dilated in detail the various contours of multi-prongedstrategy adopted by Pakistan in its War against terrorism and extremism.
The visiting dignitary was also briefed about the importance of peacefulAfghanistan for Pakistan and the role being played by Islamabad in findingdurable peace in Afghanistan.
Germany’s Vice Chief of Defense appreciated the professionalism of armedforces of Pakistan and informed that his visit was focused on therevitalization of existing defence cooperation between the two countries.
