ISLAMABAD – The second round of dialogue between Pakistan and nine-memberdelegation of Asia Pacific Group (AGP) was underway here in Islamabad.
APG Executive Secretary Garden Hook led the delegation in talks withPakistani officials.
As per details garnered, Pakistan briefed AGP on steps taken andlegislation crafted to curb the menace of money-laundering. Pakistanofficials will also show record of transactions of non-profit publicorganizations.
Pakistan also briefed APG delegation on actions being taken against fakebank accounts and suspicious transactions whereas it was told that alltransactions of all financial institutions were being monitored.
Pakistan also assured AGP delegation that registration process will be mademore effective on province and district levels.
Back then in June 2018, FATF had placed Pakistan in grey list over latter’sfailure to curb money-laundering.
