Latest study makes startling revelations about Kashmir pellet guns victims

ISLAMABAD – A latest study has revealed that 59.3 percent of the pelletguns victims in occupied Kashmir, suffer visual impairment of variousdegrees among them 36.7 percent end up with severe blindness.

The study at Government Medical College Srinagar, has lent scientificsupport to the fears about lethality of the metallic pellet shotguns widelyused by Indian troops in Kashmir against protesters.

The study included 664 patients out of the 1066, who were admitted toHospitals in Srinagar between July 2016 and January 2018, with eye injuriessuffered due to pellet shotguns.
