NEW DELHI – The TSD, a top secretlink>link>Indian Armylink> unit was set up by formerarmy chief general VK Singh in 2010 in the aftermath of the 26/11 terrorattacks in Mumbai.

The top secret unit carried out covert operations both within and outsidethe country.

The unit also faced allegations of trying to work against general VKSingh’s successors – general Bikram Singh and general Dalbir Singh Suhag.

However, soon after the retirement of general Singh, the TSD was disbandedby the army and a board of officers recommended CBI inquiry against theunit for its operations.

It was later rejected by the government, keeping in mind the top secretoperations done by the unit, including many against Pakistani positions toavenge the death of Indian troops.

The court martial proceedings against colonel Bakshi were called off onThursday night as the members of the court martial felt that they cannotproceed against the officer due to noncompliance of Army rules.

Wife of link>link>Indian Armylink> Colonel Huny Bakshi, former commanding officer of the top secret unit TSD formed for crossborder operations after Mumbai attacks has alleged that two former ArmyChiefs harassed us.

In an exclusive interview to Mail Today, Aparna Bakshi thanked the presentarmy chief general Bipin Rawat for ensuring that her husband got a fairtrial by the army court martial and for clarifying to the army fraternitythat nobody was gunning after the former top spy.

“Needless to say, two past chiefs and an ex-army commander should look intotheir conscience and reflect on how they troubled not just my husband butme too. For writing to the minister of defence against the victimisation ofmy husband, they called me for a court of inquiry and the presiding officerthreatened me with dire consequences,” she said. She refused to name thetwo former chiefs and the army commander who were troubling the Bakshifamily but said “everyone knows who they are”.
