ISLAMABAD – Foreign Office summoned a senior Indian diplomat on Wednesdayand lodged Pakistan’s strong protest at the ceasefire violations by theIndian occupation forces in Nezapir Sector along the Line of Control onTuesday.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson Aisha Farooqui, a 40 year oldinnocent civilian resident of village Mandhar, sustained serious injuriesdue to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by Indian occupation forces.
The Spokesperson said the Indian occupation forces along the LoC andWorking Boundary have continuously been targeting civilian populated areaswith artillery fire, heavy-caliber mortars, and automatic weapons, whichstill continues.
She said this unprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by India iscontinuing from the year 2017 when the Indian forces committed 1970ceasefire violations. This year India has committed 384 ceasefireviolations to date.
The Spokesperson said the deliberate targeting of civilian populated areasis indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, international humanrights and humanitarian laws. The ceasefire violations by India are athreat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategicmiscalculation.
